Hey There! My name is Rich Spicer and I am an Independent Drummer and available for hire. I am also a Drum Educator for REJOICE! Performing Arts Studio located in Fayetteville, NC and a member of the Vic Firth Education Team. As a self taught drummer, I have studied many styles of drumming extensively. I am originally from the Baltimore, Maryland area where I was first a band member of a childrens band called "The Christian Rockets" under the leadership of Miss Maginis. Later I became the drummer for such bands as "Shelley's Emeralds", "Lite-N-Easy" and "The Grand Junction Band". I played many one nighters for many other bands in the area as well. I have been playing drums for over fifty years. As the son of a Master Musician, Tuba and Bass player John Spicer and brother of a wonderful Trumpet player, Dennis Spicer, I was given the opportunity to be around the very best musicians at a very young age which has been a big factor in developing my style of drumming and the cause of my learning to play all styles of music at an early age. I currently use God's gift of drumming to assist in church plants as a member of their worship team, temporary fill in drummer for church's in transition, serve in worship bands that go out to evangelize through music and testimonies, as well as teach private lessons. I am also available for hire to play with experienced musicians if the need arise. I most enjoy working with other musicians who also have a heart for Jesus. You can E-Mail at: hotdrums7@yahoo.com |
